Consultations
General Information
First Consultation
The first consultation typically lasts around 90 minutes and is designed to gather comprehensive information about the client’s history, current concerns, and overall well-being. This in-depth session allows us to begin forming a clinical understanding, make preliminary diagnoses, and start developing an individualized treatment plan. In some cases, however, a final diagnosis may require more than one session, as additional time and insight are sometimes necessary to fully understand the client’s needs and experiences.
Follow-Up Consultations
Follow-up consultations typically last between 30 to 45 minutes and are designed to provide a comprehensive review of the patient’s progress. During these sessions, we discuss the results of any recent investigations and assess the individual’s response to prescribed medications. These appointments also offer an opportunity to explore personalised strategies aimed at optimising daily functioning and overall quality of life, often incorporating elements of supportive psychotherapy. Additionally, we take time to review how things are going with any involved allied health professionals to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to care.
Medical Aid
We accept most medical aids and charge medical aid rates. Please feel free to email us about any billing queries.
